Warminster to extend parking refund scheme
Following a decision made at a Full Council meeting on Monday 25th June, Warminster Parking Partnership has decided to extend the refund scheme for parking in Warminster by refunding two hours parking rather than the current one hour. This will come into effect from 1st July and will be reviewed again at the end of the financial year. It will take some time before the two-part tickets and the display boards by the ticket machines can be updated to reflect this change, but work is underway to ensure that shoppers are aware of the new scheme. Participating retailers have been informed of the change, and it is hoped that allowing two hours parking will encourage shoppers to spend more time in the town and will be of benefit in promoting the town centre.
